ABSTRACT
There is a dominant opinion that the cooperation of medical personnel and engineers is unappreciated and its significant positive influence on the results of therapy has not been sufficiently investigated.
The aim of this paper is an attempt to assess the state of cooperation between medical specialists and biomedical engineers and biocybernetics specialists on the basis of the opinions published up to this point in literature.
A survey of the literature in reviewed articles indexed in the main literature databases was carried out using specific keywords and unambiguous criteria for inclusion and omission.
Further study is necessary which will determine the state of cooperation between medical specialists and biomedical engineers and biocybernetics specialists, the factors which determine it and any guidelines for clinical practice.
