ABSTRACT
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract. Inflammation is induced by mediators released by the plurality of cells of immune system. In this process, the main role play the cytokines such as interleukin-25 and the mast cells that by the excretion of the number of cytokines induce bronchospasm. The reported incidence of cancer in asthma patients seems to be more frequent than in non-asthma population. However, no clear relationships on the genetic, immune or environmental background were shown to date. Here we present the case of 35-year old female with the history of severe asthma, which was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
